The Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) will be held June 14 – 22, 2014.

This extremely popular international film festival is now in its 17th year. It will open with the Oscar nominated film ‘Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom‘. 79 films will be screened over 10 days and will consist of films from 35 countries (38 short films, 23 feature length films and 18 documentaries).
In addition to the films, there will be music from 13 different performers from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and South Africa. Didier Awadi, the Senegalese maestro, will open up the festivities with a performance on June 14th 2014.
